Seal failure had allowed moisture to enter the case, resulting in damage to the luminous compound on the hands and indices. The movement appeared dull and showed signs of contamination from long-term moisture exposure.

The movement was fully stripped, cleaned, and rebuilt with correct replacement parts where necessary. A new crystal and seals were fitted, and the hands were restored and re-lumed, bringing back their vibrant contrast against the blue dial. Re-luming was carried out throughout the watch, significantly enhancing its overall appearance.

The watch now runs beautifully and looks exceptional — a complete transformation that restores the charm and precision of this vintage Seiko chronograph.
